As an architect over 40 years I have worked alongside many builders over the years.  I chose Mike Dickinson in 2010 to refurbish my home in North Cornwall.  Mike worked incredibly hard and with his all round construction experience was very able to make suggestions and to wrestle every aspect of the project through to completion.

Mike is totally trustworthy and a pleasure to work with, no problem was unsurmountable and he successfully completed the project on time and within budget.  If further manpower was required he was able to supply suitable people.

I subsequently went on use Mike on another property in 2011 which was also a complete success. I have recommended him to friends who were likewise very happy with his work.   I would have no reservation in recommending him for any project.

We would highly recommend Mike’s work.    He has built an orangery,  filled in a swimming pool, completely re-designed and re-vamped our garden,  built a beautiful  patio with a surrounding wall and a beautiful oak arched door (hand-made by Mike)  and hand-made the railings to our own design.  These are just a few of the jobs he has done for us – there are many many more!   All of his work is of the highest standard and we can honestly say we can find no fault.   He is diligent, extremely hard-working and totally reliable.   And he has the ideas and the vision to see the end result and put forward his suggestions which we found so helpful.   The best value for our money we have ever found!     An absolute treasure if you are lucky enough to have his workmanship. Our request to have a log style cabin built on a Shepherd hut chassis was not a problem and the cabin was built longer and wider than a standard Shepherd hut. Mike even used some materials  (windows and doors) that we provided! Working together we were able to achieve the end result we required and are delighted with the way it has turned out. Kilkampton

We asked mike to replace our existing oak gates on our property. The previous gates had stood for fifty years, these gates are bi folding 12ft wide. What he built was fantastic, exact replicas, he sourced the oak for us. Stripped the old gates of all it’s ironmongery cleaned and repainted them. He then refurnished and installed the new oak gates. Amazing job.

I would recommend mike to anyone. His craftsmanship is first class.
